HISTORY

UMENOHANA (“Plum Blossom”) was first established in 1976 in Japan as “Kanishige”, a traditional Japanese fine dining specializing in “Kani Ryori” or crab dishes. Our original restaurant is located in Kurume City in Kyushu, the southernmost island of Japan. From 1986, Umenohana have also gained popularity for our Yuba (soy milk skin) and Tofu dishes served in the traditional Kaiseki Style. Since then, we have slowly expanded across Japan introducing more and more customers to our original cuisine as well as touching their hearts through our unforgettable hospitality.

With currently over 70 Umenohana restaurants located across Japan, we are now ready to serve our original Kaiseki cuisine to our overseas customers with our first overseas Umenohana restaurant here in Bangkok, Thailand.
