HISTORY


UMENOHANA “Plum Blossoms” was first established in 1976 in Japan as “Kanishige”, a traditional Japanese fine dining specializing in crab dishes. Our original restaurant is located in Kurume-city, Fukuoka in Kyushu, the southernmost island of Japan.
From 1986, Umenohana have also gained popularity for our Yuba (bean curd skin) and Tofu dishes served in the traditional Kaiseki Style. Since then, we have slowly expanded across Japan introducing more and more customers to our original cuisine as well as touching their hearts through our unforgettable hospitality.

With currently over 60 Umenohana restaurants located across Japan, we are now ready to serve our original Kaiseki cuisine to our first overseas Umenohana restaurant here in Bangkok, Thailand.
